Where your body leads the way

Inclusive movement and functional fitness in the DMV (DC/MD/VA) — queer-owned and body-led.

At BodiLab, we do fitness differently. Our classes blend functional movement, yoga principles, and mindful self-inquiry to help you feel stronger, steadier, and more connected to your body.

No “no pain, no gain.”
No shouting coaches or punishing routines.
Just movement that makes sense—for your body, your goals, your day.

Whether you're looking to expand your mobility or strength, navigating chronic pain, or simply looking for a class that doesn’t feel like performance, you're welcome here.

What to expect in a BodiLab Class

🌀 Functional Fitness Think walking, squatting, reaching, balancing—movements you use every day. We train for strength, mobility, and endurance that actually supports your life. 🧘 Yoga-Inspired Structure Classes often begin with grounding, include breathwork or body scans, and encourage inner awareness (svadhyaya) as much as outer effort. 🌿 Self-Paced and Adaptable We always offer options. You’ll be encouraged to listen to your body—not override it. Rest is welcome. Props and modifications are part of the plan. 💬 Supportive, Nonjudgmental Space No weight loss talk. No comparisons. No “before and after” photos. Just real humans in real bodies, moving together.

Who our classes are for

You might feel at home here if you’ve ever thought: “I’m tired of gyms that make me feel like I don’t belong.” “I want to move, but I don’t want to be yelled at.” “I want to build strength—but I also want to feel good in my body.” “I’m not sure where to start, but I want to try.” Our students include people in bigger bodies, trans and nonbinary folks, people with chronic conditions or disabilities, beginners, returners, and those seeking a gentler, deeper relationship to movement.

Our approach is built on trust

We believe:

  • Your body is not a problem to fix.

  • Movement should support you—not stress you out.

  • Every person deserves a space to move that feels psychologically safe and physically supportive.

Our values include inclusivity, intuitive movement, accessibility, and science-informed design.
